NEWS : <b>April 29, 2009</b> I'm looking forward to my first solo show with the <a href="http://www.davidbsmithgallery.com/exhibitions/" target="_blank">David B. Smith Gallery</a> in Denver. It's going to be Sept 19th, 2009. The line up of artists at the gallery is amazing, and I'm happy to be aboard! In other news, I'm honored to be a part of a very special fundraising event with <a href="http://www.keep-a-breast.org/" target="_blank"> Keep A Breast Foundation</a>. The event is Monday, June 15th in Santa Monica. <b>February 13, 2009</b> <a href="http://www.kinseyvisual.com"target="_blank"> Dave Kinsey</a> came out for a visit and interviewed me for Fecal Face. There are also some photos of my new work, including book sculptures. <b>December 13, 2008</b> If you happen to be in New York on January 9th or 10th, stop by and check out my work in the "<i>Postcards from the Edge</i>" exhibit hosted by Metro Pictures. This is a benefit show. All proceeds support the work of Visual AIDS, an organization that uses contemporary art to promote AIDS advocacy and offers career support to HIV-positive artists. In other exciting news, I was interviewed in an eight-page spread for <i>XFUNS</i> magazine, Issue 38. It?s a creative design/art magazine from Taiwan. They can be difficult to find but well worth the search. <b>October 17, 2008</b> The results are in, and it was a huge honor to find out I won first place at the <a href="http://www.2ndcitycouncil.org" target="_blank">2nd City Council</a> Visual Literacy juried exhibition! A big thanks to Cheryl Bennett for giving me the opportunity to show my work. In other news, I have recently received flattering reviews from two more art magazines. The first is in the September/October issue of <a href="http://www.artweek.com" target="_blank">Artweek</a>.The second is in the October issue of <a href="http://themagla.com" target="_blank">THE Magazine</a>. Lastly, the Bukowski show has been pushed to Spring 2009, so stay tuned as I will update with info as the show comes closer. <b>September 16, 2008</b> A lot has been going on since my last post in August, including the following: I got a very flattering write up in the September/October 2008 issue of Art Ltd magazine. You can read the full set of reviews <a href="http://www.artltdmag.com/index.php?page=reviews" target="_blank"> here</a>. I'm a huge fan of Charles Bukowski's work. You can imagine how honored I am to be a featured artist at an upcoming event celebrating the establishment of his home on 5124 De Longpre Ave as a City of Los Angeles Historic Landmark. In attendance will be many of Bukowski's closest poet friends. You can read more about Bukowski and his work <a href="http://bukowski.net" target="_blank">here</a>. I will be updating my site with more information as the date approaches. Finally, my work is being included in a juried exhibition on September 20th in Long Beach, CA, at <a href="http://www.2ndcitycouncil.org" target="_blank">2nd City Council</a>. Please see my Exhibitions page for more information. <b>August 16, 2008</b> I am part of a three person show at <a href="http://www.gilmancontemporary.com" target="_blank">Gilman Contemporary Gallery</a> in Ketchum, Idaho. I am flying out to create an on site installation. It should be fun! <b>July 18, 2008</b> My show at <a href="http://www.blkmrktgallery.com" target="_blank">Kinsey/DesForges Gallery</a> went down last weekend, and was a huge success! To review the remaining available work please click <a href="http://www.blkmrktgallery.com/store/?cat=1" target="_blank"> here</a>. <b>July 10, 2008</b> I'm a couple days away from my second solo show at <a href="http://www.blkmrktgallery.com" target="_blank">Kinsey/DesForges Gallery</a> formerly known as BLK/MRKT Gallery. In addition to the new paper pieces and book sculptures that will be on display, I will also be creating a giant floor to ceiling installation. I really hope to see you there!
